Lang Lang.

I don't know why people always complain about Lang Lang giving off shitty faces when he's playing. I mean, he doesn't do it to annoy you, does he?! I actually love it, it's so animated. All his bodily motions jerk and flow, disrupt but engage simultaneously. He looks stupid and nothing like the reserved and dashing (but secretly bursting to his seams with an enigmatic passion) pianist we want to see, but somehow it works out. There's something there that makes me feel more connected to his music, because while his talent seems so out of reach, he remains so innately human and he's so unashamedly willing to reveal that to the world. Maybe cause he assumes most people like to listen with their eyes closed, or that the stage is too far and the cameras are displaying pretty, out-of-focus shots, and I'm doubting he actually cares at all but still. I wouldn't like to look like that on t.v. but I enjoy the strange leaks of emotion, and how he looks completely silly, I love silliness. A few times I've watched videos of him on mute, and he looks like he's acting out an exaggerated parody of a cartoon pianist but he's not, which makes it so much better.

Also, pianists should have a uniform of t shirts not blazers. Why would they wear blazers? We all know how much they restrict arm movement. & there's a ridiculous amount of clapping (half the video) so yeah, don't watch that...I did, and there's nothing but clapping.

Dispose.

Random internet clicking leads me to fascinating places. How brilliant is this rib cage harness, I'm usually never attracted much by accessories (because they expect effort and outfit coordination; neither of which I am bothered or equipped with). But this is so damn attractive, and I know everyone is going to be disapproving and say it's creepy but it's so exciting! They have a heap of bones necklaces. & I need to own at least one piece but it's so hard to choose. The brand was accompanied with this beautiful line - "To use bone, then, is to evoke and connect with other times and places even as one fully inhabits the present." and also "it celebrates the diversity of the natural world and the inventiveness of civilisation".

I really love the rawness of the collection. & I've recently discovered a blogger who makes me want to requestion my ignorance for fashion altogether. He's the designer of the above harness by the way, explains a lot aye. But I'm starting to really appreciate androdgynous clothing and accessories which is something I thought would never happen. I mean, while cleaning out my wardobe tonight, I found 70% of it was either pink or floral or had random fobby shit all over it. So yeah. I have no clothes left. Literally have nothing but a few work outfits for LC (black dresses, black pants, black tops, black blazers) and for Possums (Trackies, ugly hoodies, leggings). It's a weird feeling discovering you hate your entire wardobe but it's refreshing to start over. Going to stop being the shitty low maintenance person I've become. Also surprised to discover how emotionally detached from all my clothes I am, except for all my pjs; they're the best. & I'm becoming obsessed with the neutrals at a time where colour blocking is all the hype; I'll never catch on but that's okay...I have BONES.
